    By admin | June 27, 2009

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else’s blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that’s about as far you went when it comes to finding readers. Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers.

These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called “traction”, which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. Instead your current loyal readers do the work for you through word of mouth.Top 10 Tips

    10. Write at least five major “pillar” articles. A pillar article is usually a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good “how-to” lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn’t news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

    9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don’t have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

    8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be serious about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need an easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that’s the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you’ve done a good job!).

    7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people’s blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

    6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger’s article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it’s sort of like your blog telling someone else’s blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

    5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

    4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival enjoy a spike in new readers.

To find the right blog carnival for your blog, do a search at http://blogcarnival.com/.

    3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it’s so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it’s worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

    2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn’t bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it’s worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your “Resource Box”. You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

    1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I’ve listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won’t stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

‘Money For Nothing’ - There Is No Such Thing!

    By admin | March 21, 2009

I cannot believe the amount of calls we get from people wanting to join our business because they need to make ‘Quick Cash‘.  Another common belief is that people think they can outlay $50 - $100 on a business and expect thousands of dollars in return and in the first week or two.

The reason for this train of thought is due to so called ‘marketers’ out there promising the world if you join them but simply can’t deliver.  The Online Business Industry is booming but we need to be realistic with the time frame it takes to really earn good money and there is a lot of money to be earned online, I can assure you of that.

Jodie & I have been in the Industry for several years and really learned the hard way of what it takes to build a successful online business and I can say that forking out pennies just won’t cut it.  However, with the latest marketing techniques and systems at your disposal you can certainly speed up the process of building a significant income.

So my message is don’t be fooled into thinking there is ‘Quick Cash’ to be made online, there is however, a phenomenal amount of money to be made if you are prepared to listen, learn and apply what is being taught by the successful consultants in the diverse and exciting industry.

Where To Start With Making Money Online?

    By admin | February 17, 2009

There are so many ways to earn decent money online these days that a lot of people are becoming confused about what to do or where to start.

Well, Jodie’s main income comes from teaching people the in’s and out’s of Online Marketing from setting up an optimised webpage to driving quality traffic to it, she also promotes, what we consider, the best Lifetime Resort Travel Membership we have ever come across.  Also, we have a little gold mine of a system that is a very easy to follow duplicatable business that basically looks after itself.

So, where to start?…..well, a lot has to do with your budget and lets face it, people screw their noses up at paying $3K for a Marketing Business.  My question to that would be where else can you pay that little a money and get a business opportunity, a lifetime of coaching, and a product well worth the $3k alone without the opportunity to make money from it.  Anyway, affiliate Marketing is a good way to learn the basics of marketing online which, if done right, will turn over a nice steady little income while your getting coached on how to succeed with the big ticket items.  I must say that the duplicatable business I mentioned above comes with it’s own “How To” training course on Affiliate Marketing (that’s a bonus) which I have recently initiated (stay posted for those results).

I must add that one of the main ingredient in becoming successful online is finding a coach that actually cares about YOUR success……food for thought.

    Have an Awesome Day

Why Do We Need Marketing Tools?

    By admin | February 14, 2009

Why do we need marketing tools?

Well, the old saying comes to mind - “You Can’t Stop Progress”.  We use Marketing Tools for several reasons but the 2 main reasons are that using Marketing Tools frees up a lot more of your time to get on with building your business and the other is so we can keep ahead of our competitors.  Now, competition is healthy but if there is a Marketing Tool out there that will give me the edge then I’m on to it.

I could not imagine how many hours per day it would take me to manually do what some tools do in minutes.  Take this Back Linking Service for example, all I do is submit a paragraph or two with the link to my blog site and submit it, and it then takes that link and sends it to one of hundreds of reputable blog site on the services list….easy.

So, I guess my point is that using Marketing Tools saves us time and Time Is Money.

    Be Awesome & Don’t Look Back :-)

    A Quote by Jim Rohn

    By admin | February 2, 2009

“The greatest gift of the human imagination is that it has no limits or ending”.
I once read that ‘Imagination’ is the door to every possibility becoming a reality.
The vast majority of us lead a life of conformity as we simply do not know, or should i say have not been shown any differently.
Today, people are realizing a shift in independence that is creating a new generation of Entrepreneur.   People are becoming aware that there is more than what can be visibly seen or heard.  Today, we are embarking on Self Education & Personal Development growth that is enabling us to see more clearly, above the haze of conformity, to create whatever it is we desire.
One aspect of this new enlightenment is The Law of Attraction (commercially recognized in the movie “The Secret”) where it states that we can achieve anything we set out to achieve if we have strong enough intentions and desires.

Can you see outside your bubble?

Joke Email - Too Funny, Just Had To Share!

    By admin | January 28, 2009

    HEALTH QUESTION & ANSWER SESSION:

Q: I’ve heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life; is this true?
A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that’s it.. don’t waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that’s like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruit and vegetables?
A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?
A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain . Bottoms up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/ fat ratio?
A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one.. If you have two bodies , your ratio is two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise programme?
A: Can’t think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain…Good !

Q: Aren’t fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU’RE NOT LISTENING !!! … Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they’re permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?
A: Are you crazy? HELLO!!! Cocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It’s the best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?
A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?
A: Hey! ‘Round’ is a shape!

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

    And remember:
‘Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ‘WOW what a ride!’

    Below is a specially formulated diet designed to help women cope with the stresses that build during the day;

    BREAKFAST
    1 Grapefruit
    1 slice wholemeal toast
    1 cup skimmed milk

    LUNCH
1 small portion lean, steamed chicken with a cup of spinach
    1 cup herbal tea

    1 biscuit

    AFTERNOON TEA

The rest of the biscuits from the packet
1 tub of Gino Ginelli ice cream with chocolate topping

    DINNER
4 bottles of wine (red or white)
    2 loaves garlic bread
    1 family size supreme pizza
    3 chocolate bars

    LATE NIGHT SNACK
1 whole cheesecake (eaten directly from the freezer)

    REMEMBER :
    ’stressed’ spelled backwards is ‘desserts’

Send this to four women and you will lose two kilograms

Send this to all the women you know (or ever knew) and you will lose 10 kgs

IF you delete this message you will gain 10 kgs

Finally, here’s some advice for you:

Dr. Neil proclaimed the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started…….

So I looked around my house to see things I’d started and hadn’t finished; and, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonay , a bole of Baileys, a butle of Kehuha, a pockage of biscuits , the mainder of bot Prozic and Valum scriptins, the res of the Chesescke, some saltins an a bax a cholates..

Yu haf no idr who fuggen gud I fel.
